There are many legends associated with the forming of Rome, but as a civilization, Ancient Rome came about in the ninth century as part of the Italian peninsula. A small agricultural community was the starting point of the entire empire spanning throughout the Mediterranean Sea.

From the Colosseum to the Catacombs the ancient city of Rome is full of grandeur and a lively history that came with the civilizations. Other famous sites include the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, the Capitoline Hill, the Baths of Diocletian and the Baths of Caracalla.
